Federer: King of Wimbledon v King of NY

There are many hats that Roger Federer wears, or should that be crowns. With six Wimbledon titles to his name he has been called the ‘King of Wimbledon’, as in when the BBC’s Sue Barker made this torturous link during this year’s Championships: “[he] has become known in recent years as the King of Wimbledon … and this is the day after the death of the King of Pop”. But with five consecutive titles to his name at the US Open, and two wins away from a sixth, Federer has claims on the title ‘King of New York’.

The King of Wimbledon v the King of New York – have a look at Federer’s respective reigns and it’s hard to say where Federer has been more dominant, although he has never lost in the first round at Flushing Meadows whereas it has happened three times at SW19.

    Roger Federer’s Biggest Victory Was against Pete Sampras in Wimbledon 2001 in Round of 16.Roger Federer beat 7 time Wimbledon Champion Pete Sampras.I think that was the most satisfying match Roger Federer has ever Played.
